    Susan J. McWilliams, Ph.D, is an Associate Professor of Politics at Pomona College, where she has twice won the Wig Award for Excellence in Teaching. She is an author and co-author of books, and her articles have been widely published. In 2014 she won both the Graves Award in the Humanities and a National Endowment for the Humanities fellowship. She lives in Claremont, California, with her husband and two children.

    John studied journalism, communications, psychology, and the dramatic arts while attending City College in San Diego, California. A lifelong motorcycle enthusiast, he has been a street performer, cab driver, magician, IT/IS specialist, long-haul trucker, soldier, and oil field worker—all while struggling with PTSD, childhood abuse, parental abandonment, and dyslexia. After penning the stories of his travels while living in Las Vegas, Nevada, John now lives in Seattle, Washington.
