In his book, Red, White, and the Blues: A Long and Hard Ride over Treacherous Terrain, John interweaves a narrative of a life lived in constant motion while taking the reader along on his 2011 coast-to-coast motorcycle odyssey crisscrossing North America.

    John studied journalism, communications, psychology, and the dramatic arts while attending City College in San Diego, California. A lifelong motorcycle enthusiast, he has been a street performer, cab driver, magician, IT/IS specialist, long-haul trucker, soldier, and oil field worker—all while struggling with PTSD, childhood abuse, parental abandonment, and dyslexia. After penning the stories of his travels while living in Las Vegas, Nevada, John now lives in Seattle, Washington.
